Following his side’s 3-0 win over Akwa United in the Week 28 Nigeria Professional Football League encouraged ter in Jos over the weekend, the coach of Plateau United,Kennedy Boboye, has conceded that it was a huge morale-booster for his lads and a great step towards winning the league.
Boboye, who stated this in a post-match news conference, noted that his team’s triumph over the Promise Keepers would have his side in great psychological shape ahead of its cracker away to Niger Tornadoes in Pomona this weekend.
Boboye praised the hardwork, commitment, dedication and perseverance of his players in their quest to win the league title for the first time in the club’s history, stressing that they would continue to strive hard until that is achieved.
He further thanked the club’s fans, management and the state governor, Simon Lalong, for their support which have been instrumental to galvanising the team to give its best.
He assured that the team would take its remaining games seriously, whether they would be played at home or away.
Plateau United currentlybsits atop the log with 51 points from 28 matches and are five poi rd ahead of MFM FC, who are hot on its heels.
