Tennis League: NCC Dangles N17m On Participants, As Event Enters Final Stage

With N500, 000 registration in the ongoing fifth round-robin match of the 2017 Tennis League Championship sponsored by Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), winners are expected to go home with a whopping sum of N17m.

The competition which is already in its final stage, will see about four categories of winners smiling to the bank with N17 million. These include:  prize money of 7million for winner, 5million for 1st runner-up, 3million for 2nd runner up and 2 million for fourth place respectively.

The fifth round-robin matches of the championship entered its final stage at the weekend.

The two-day event which was also a project of International Tennis Academy commenced on 26th August, 2017 at the National Stadium, Lagos with host and Kwara State teams.

Appreciating NCC shortly after Sunday match, the captain of team Optiweb, Ikakah Emmanuel told LEADERSHIP Sport that he appreciates NCC for sponsoring the event, adding the sports initiative has helped to keep the youths out of the street.
