Senator Jeremiah Useni, representing Plateau South Senatorial District, has called on the youths to be agents of change, for the country to record meaningful development.
Useni made the call recently at the 23rd Anniversary/Graduation ceremony of the Daughters of Abraham Foundation (DOAF), in Abuja. As the Grand Patron of the Foundation, he stressed the need for youths to have a positive mindset concerning the affairs of the country.
He advised the graduating students to put to practice the skills they have learnt. “I urge you all to ensure that you make good use of the training acquired here, which can take you to greater heights,” he said.
The Director of DOAF, Evangelist (Mrs) Margaret Bargo, noted that the foundation admitted 30 girls, who are victims of various abuses, and empowered them with skills and start-up funds for business.
“The girls are victims of all sorts of inhuman treatment and satanic affliction, caused either through carelessness, deception, human wickedness and self-afflictions. They were rescued and transformed by God, through the DOA Foundation. This year, DOAF recorded 30 intakes of ladies and women, but only 25 of them admitted agreed to subject themselves to the vigorous training. Out of that number, 10 daughters are graduating including a widow. This gives great joy as this number will be added to the 430 trained daughters, who had graduated over the years.”
