EDO 2016: Police, DSS Advice INEC To Shift Guber Election

Barely three days to Edo State governorship election, the Police and the Department of State Security (DSS), has advised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to shift the election on what they tagged ‘security threats.’

The security operatives gave the advice to ensure safety of lives and properties following the security situation in the state.

LEADERSHIP recalled that secondary school students had on Monday protested to the INEC office in Benin City calling for a shift in the election to enable them write their examination scheduled for Saturday, September 10, 2016 which is also the date of the election.
