An Abuja-based Pension Fund Administrator (PFA), Premium Pension Limited won double awards at the recently concluded Africa Pension Awards, organised by the National Pension Commission (PenCom) in conjunction with Pension and Investments/World Pension Summit, Amsterdam, held in Abuja.
The PFA was awarded for ‘Driving Inclusive Coverage of Pension’ and ‘Excellence in Corporate Governance’.
Reacting to the feat, the Managing Director of Premium Pension Limited(PPL), Mr. Wilson Ideva, said the awards is an endorsement of quality which the company represents and by extension the Contributory Pension Scheme(CPS) in Nigeria.
Premium Pension, he said, has demonstrated over time that public awareness and wider reach would consolidate and further expand the benefits of the CPS., noting that this was the motivating factor behind the Reward4DHustle campaign launched by the company earlier in the year.
The campaign aimed at profiting from the mass appeal of the social media, he said, is to promote the CPS while highlighting the preparedness of PPL for the anticipated expansion of the pension market as a result of the extension of the scheme to the informal sector.
“These awards will give assurances to Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders and retirees that we are focused and committed to best practice. We motivate individuals but build structures. The laid down structures and team spirit have contributed in no small measure to the successes we have recorded,” Ideva pointed out.
