The Lagos State University (LASU) has said banks operating on Ojo Campus will soon be demolished due to the ongoing re-construction of the Lagos – Badagry Expressway.
The management of the institution in a statement made available to newsmen by the information department of the ivory tower said demolition squad will soon pull down the buildings.
The statement read in parts, “Management has been in talks with the banks knowing the disruption this will cause their businesses.
“To minimise the discomfort this development may cause Staff, Students, Members of the University Community as well as the banks, the University Management has provided temporary space for the affected banks to enable them continue providing their services, pending the time they will be able to utilize the permanent space allocated to them. ”
The university management appealed to staff, students and the entire community to understand the situation and fully cooperate with it on the above arrangement.
