The #BringBackOurGirls group has pleaded with the federal government to act fast and rescue the 218 abducted Chibok girls even as 900 days of their abduction approaches.
Speaking during it’s sit-out, one of the leaders of the group, Aisha Yesufu stated that September 30, 2016 will be Day 900 of the girls’ abduction and expressed hope or the girls return.
She expressed sadness that the girls were still in the hands of their abductors and lamented on the suffering they must have been going through in the hands of their captors.
Yesufu urged the federal government to stop all excuses or delay and bring about result by rescuing the girls whose family are anxiously waiting for them.
Recall that Yesufu who is the head of the strategic team of the group, stated that like other important days, the group will commemorate the day with series of activities which will be unveiled to the general public soon.
The group had also reviewed the it’s story so far and strategized on the way forward in achieving its goal, which is the rescue of the remaining 218 abducted girls.
It added that even though, it is taking a long time for the girls to be rescued, its advocacy will continue, no matter the obstacles until the girls are returned to their families.
