The Chief Executive Officer of Save Humanity Organisation, Miss Lauretta Charles, as part of efforts to better the lot of the Internally Displaced Persons in the country, recently marked her birthday at Abuja Internally Displaced where she lavished gifts on the children as well as cash donation to pregnant women persons camp.
It would be recalled that Queen Lauretta has been in the vanguard of touching lives using her platform. Last year, she visited Bama, Borno State, the hot bed of Boko Haram ungodly activities as well as victims of Bomb blasts in Zaria and other parts of the country.
Lauretta, who is also the founder of Miss Heart of Nigeria, Beauty Pageant, while speaking with Journalists stated that the visit was informed by her love for the less- privileged in the society especially those who don’t have anybody to cater for them.
She disclosed that the current state of the IDPs is quite dehumanizing, even as she call on well-meaning Nigerians to as a matter of urgency assist the government in giving succour to the IDPS as they currently 800,000 IDPs scattered across the country.
The gap toothed Queen said her intention was to make the less privileged feel loved. “I want them to know that they are loved and cared for,” she said.
Also speaking, the Kunchigoro IDP Camp deputy Coordinator, Danladi Adamu, thanked the celebrant for her visit, just as he called on well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture of the august visited. Investigation also revealed that about 1,555 (One Thousand Five Hundred And Fifty-Five) people are residents in the Camp and they are in dare need of basic social amenities.
