Chairman of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) of Zinaria International School, Mararba, Alhaji Baba Abdussalam, has urged parents to make the children embrace Islamic teachings and their values.
He spoke at the Muslim Students Society Week organised by the school.
According to him, parents must strive to re-inculcate the good moral teachings and secular studies in the mind of their wards.
The school’s director, Alhaji Abdulmalik Abdullah, appreciated the large turnout of parents in spite of the short notice. He called on the students to be wary of the worldly temptations.
Recitation of some verses of the Holy Qur’an, rendition of Islamic songs as well as drama presentation “Hijah is my pride” took place on the occasion.
The school was established over nine years ago and has witnessed improvement in transportation, academics, infrastructure and general administration aimed at grooming the young ones to meet emerging global challenges.
