In an effort to ease the sufferings and improve the living conditions of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the communities affected by the Fulani herdsmen attack in Benue State, Woman Missionary to African Nations (WomanAfrica) has donated food items and relief materials to some of the affected communities in Agatu.
Presenting the relief materials to the victims, the president, WomanAfrica, Rev Ijeoma Eberibe while fielding questions from newsmen in Agatu, Benue State, said that the donation was aimed at easing the plight of the affected IDPs in Agatu.
She said, “We heard that the community of Agatu was affected and the people have been rendered homeless with no food, that’s why we are here. We have been going out to so many places in Africa, to know the problem that women encounter, sympathise with them and ease their suffering by rendering help in whatever way we can.”
Eberibe assured the IDPs that WomanAfrica would always be part of their suffering by serving as mouth piece for them and also to make the world know the plight faced by the IDPs, especially women in the community.
