All now seems to be set for the conduct of Ondo State All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries slated for Saturday, September 3, as the party, on Thursday finally inaugurated the Primaries and Appeals committees after delays in its constitution.
While inaugurating the committees at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja, the national organising secretary, Sen. Osita Isunazo charged the committees on exhibiting the highest standard possible to ensuring that the primary is free and fair towards getting the best candidate.
Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa serves as the Chairman of the primaries committee with Dr. Bruce Ugbode as secretary, Hon. Hamma Adama Ali, Prince M. Martin and Engr. Mohammed Lawal as members.
the Appeals Committee has Mrs. Helen Bendega as Chairman, Alhaji Musa Umarand Nikky Ejezie as Secretary and member respectively.
All the governorship primaries of the APC had been chaired by a governor, starting with Kogi state that was chaired by governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai.
Others are Bayelsa State chaired by the governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, Edo State chaired by the governor of Katsina State, Hon. Aminu Masari and now Ondo State to be chaired by the governor of Jigawa State.
