Amirul Hajj Debunks Execution Of Kwara Pilgrims In Saudi Arabia

The leader of Kwara state’s delegation to this year’s Hajj, Justice ldris Haroon has debunked rumours that the three Kwara pilgrims arrested in Saudi Arabia for alleged cocaine trafficking have been executed by the Saudi Arabia Authority.

Haroon made the clarification in a telephone interview with our reporter.

He described as untrue and unfounded rumours that the suspects have been beheaded by the Saudi Arabia government.

Haroon, a former Grand khadi of the Sharia Court of Appeal, Ilorin said the matter is an international issue which is still being handled by the Saudi Arabia government.

“Issue on the arrested Pilgrims is an international issue which is being handled by the Saudi authority. It is not true that they have been executed”, the Amirul Hajj said.

Haroon said other Kwara pilgrims are in good condition in Makkah.

LEADERSHIP Sunday recalls that the three arrested Kwara Pilgrims were among the 505 first batches of Pilgrims airlifted from the llorin international Airport.
