…Explains why Rivers declined to host Nigeria-Tanzania match
Rivers State Governor, Chief Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike has declared that the state government will partner with the Deeper Christian Life Ministry to hold monthly crusades in the state for the spiritual upliftment of the state and her people.
This is as he explained that the state government declined to host the international football match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and their Tanzanian counterparts because the state required the blessing from the Double Portion crusade of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry.
Wike, who spoke at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt on Saturday evening during the crusade where the General Superintendent of the Church, Pastor William Kumuyi ministered to the state, said the monthly hosting of the crusade will help in transforming the state.
Emphasizing that the monthly crusade is needed for Kumuyi and the leaders of Deeper Christian Life Ministry to intercede on behalf of Rivers State, the governor noted that investing in the spiritual growth of the state is necessary for its overall development.
He said, “No man can provide security, other than God. Only God can move this state forward. We have worked hard and we seek God’s grace to consolidate our efforts.”
