The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), Keffi Area Office, had appealed to its consumers over the poor power supply they had been experiencing in the last four months.
The spokesman of the company there, Mr Segun Momoh, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Keffi that the situation was due to pipeline vandalism in the Niger-Delta region.
Momoh said that the development had also caused epileptic power supply across the country.
Some of the residents of Keffi told NAN that their businesses and domestic activities had been adversely affected by the epileptic power supply.
A resident, Mr Bulus Emmanuel, said that despite the poor power supply, the AEDC was still serving them bills on monthly basis.
Emmanuel said that the poor supply had affected the preservation of his food items.
Another resident, Ibrahim Ahmed, said the poor supply had taken a toll on many homes which had to power their generating sets from their meagre resources.
According to him, many residents now use charcoal-powered pressing irons to iron their dresses due to irregular power supply. (NAN)
