One of the leading APC governorship aspirants, Dr. Segun Abraham who had earlier congratulated the winner of the primaries, yesterday rejected the results of last Saturday’s primary and the candidate that emerged, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu.

Abraham said he took the decision following the gale of allegations and malpractices that have since rocked the conduct and the process of the gubernatorial primary held last weekend.

The frontline aspirant, Olusegun Abraham, who polled 635 votes to finish second place, alleged that the process leading to the primary election was manipulated and compromised to favour the winner.

In a statement which was signed by the director-general of his campaign, Prince Olu Adegboro, and made available to LEADERSHIP in Akure, the aspirant stated that the outcome of the election is “unacceptable”, considering the plethora of staggering facts of anomalies that have since emerged to the demerit of the exercise.
