Tompolo Loses Father After Allege Brutality

Just weeks after complaints on an alleged brutality on Thomas Ekpemupolo, father of wanted ex-militant, Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo, the octogenarian has given up the ghost, Gbaramatu Voice, a community newspaper in Delta State has reported.

According to the news source, the former militant’s father died at Lily Clinic, Deco Road, Warri in the early hours of Wednesday.

A source also said that the family would issue a statement announcing the death of the patriach soon.

Ekpemupolo was allegedly attacked by the army during a clearance operation in the community on May 28.

Tompolo had written an open letter to President Buhari last month, complaining about the treatment which he said has led to the amputation of his lower limbs.

“From the doctor’s report, it will be a thing of miracle if he survives this incident,” said Tompolo.

“Is this 84 year old man also a member of the Niger Delta Avengers that they brutalized him to the point of death?”
