A chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Kogi State, Alhaji Adamu Abdul has urged Edo State All Progressives Congress, APC not to drag Kogi State into the state’s governorship race.
This was against the backdrop of the allegation made by Edo APC that some thugs were being recruited from Kogi State, especially, Okene to help prosecute the election in Edo State.
Alhaji Abdul in an interview with journalists in Lokoja, yesterday, stressed that the election in Edo State was not Kogi PDP affairs but noted that whoever wins as governor in the election would be by a slim margin.
The PDP chieftain urged Edo APC to face squarely the battle of retaining the state for APC rather than cutting corners and shifting blames on others.
According to him nothing is more beneficial in election than winning back to back through genuine election without rancour.
It would be recalled that Edo election comes up on the 10th of September 2016.
