The Bauchi State command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC said it has deployed over 1800 of its personnel to all the nooks and crannies of the state to ensure a hitch-free sallah celebrations in the state.
This was made known to newsmen by the state commandant, Raji Ibrahim in his office.
The deployment according to the commandant which takes immediate effect, will include patrolling which will also be intensified to nip in the bud, any criminal activity capable of jeopardizing the peace being enjoyed in the state.
Raji explained that the command wants to use this medium to call on the good people of Bauchi State to go about their normal activities, shun any act that may jeopardize the peaceful atmosphere of the state. He enjoined the citizens to be vigilant and report any suspected movement to the nearest security outfit.
According to the commandant, officers and men of the corps have been deployed to all strategic locations in the state, especially Bauchi metropolis and its environs, adding that the state command wishes the law abiding citizens a hitch free sallah celebrations.
