The chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Abdullahi Adamu Candido has wished the residents of the council Eid-el-Kabir celebrations and called on residents to live in peace with one another and support government policies and programmes.
Candido in a Sallah message signed by his Chief Press Sectery Dayo Lawal also urged residents to pray for the nation, so as to have a better Nigeria.
The Chairman further admonished Nigerians to be patient with the government, saying the pains of today with the policies and actions of President Muhammadu Buhari will be over within the shortest possible time“ as we mark the Eid-el-Kabir, I urge the residents to live in peace with one another, support government policies and programmes and pray for the nation, so that we can have a better Nigeria.
“And the pains of today, by the grace of God, with the policies and actions of Mr. President, we would all live to celebrate within the shortest possible time.” he said
Also the vice chairman Hon Lawrence Onuchukwu in a Sallah message charged residents to keep faith with the government of change saying change is permanent in life. He called on the people to be patient and prayerful for the government to continue to provide social amenities to the area council as witnessed in the last 100 days.” As a government, we see promises as debts that must be paid even in the face of dwindling economic situation of the country ,however , we will do our best to implement policies and programmes that will touch the lives of the poor” he said
He concluded by wishing the good people of AMAC a happy sallah celebration and advised them to abide by the laws of the land as they celebrate Eid el Kabir” I wish the good people of AMAC a happy sallah celebration, I also want to advice us to abide by the laws of the land by obeying the laws and being law abiding citizens of Nigeria.”
