Governor Aminu Bello Masari has charged Nigerians to have faith in the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari to see the country successfully through the economic recession and security challenges buffeting Nigeria.
The governor, who made the assertion shortly after the celebrations marking Eid-el-kabir in Katsina, assured that in Buhari the country, had the right leader with the commitment, determination and selflessness to address its challenges.
Masari, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Abdu Labaran, was optimistic that a combination of passion from the leadership and prayers from the people would see the nation back into the path of prosperity.
“President Muhammadu Buhari is not new on this job, nor is the challenge new to him. In 1983, when the country was tottering on the brink of collapse he came in and salvaged the situation.
“That passion and burning desire to serve selflessly are still in him. These are evident in the manner he is handling the economy and the security challenges confronting the country.
“God has brought him again to do that which he successfully did all those years back when economic and security challenges had all but brought the country down on its knees, and I am confident that he will do it if we give him the support and cooperation he requires. He needs our prayers too,” said Masari.
