Aftermath Of S’Court Verdict, Bello Calls For Cooperation

Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has called on the people of the state to give him maximum support and cooperation to turn the state around for the betterment of all the citizens Addressing a mammoth crowd in Lokoja yesterday during a warm reception organised for him by the people of the state to honour him for his victory at the Supreme Court, governor Bello said the Apex court has upheld his election, noting that he had no excuse not to perform.

Bello who pointed out that in the last twenty five years of creation

of Kogi state, the state has continually dwelled in darkness, assured that in no distance time the darkness will be turn to light through his commitment to right the wrong in the state.

According to him “God almighty has destined that I will be the 4th executive governor of Kogi state, I will utilise this divinely opportunity to transform and take the state to the promising land.

“I am not unaware that the past administration failed in addressing

critical sectors  of the state, now that the litigation are over , it

is time for us to sit down and work for the people on whose mandate I became the governor”

While calling on the youth and women to give their maximum support and co-operation to the new administration, the governor reassured that there are a lot of empowerment programmes awaiting them to improve the standard of living.

“The situation we met on ground was pathetic, but we have exercise enough patience   to ensure that things are done in a way that will benefit all.

Bello who appealed to civil servants  in the state to be patient, promised that in few days from now , the screening exercise will be concluded, assuring that all the unintended beneficiaries will be offered empowerment programme to better their lives.
