An eighteen seater bus, yesterday, somersaulted along Bida-Minna road, killing three persons, and injuring nine others.
LEADERSHIP learnt that the accident occurred around 6 am at Sabon Daga area, about 30 kilometres away from Minna and 50 kilometres to Bida
The police spokesman, Bala Elkana, while confirming the two accidents posited that the accident might have occurred when the driver was trying to dodge portholes and in the process went off the road.
He stated that when the driver went off the road in a bid to regain control somersaulted adding that the police are still investigating the remote cause of the fatal crash.
According to him those who were injured were taken to Minna general hospital where they are recuperating while the dead person were also evacuated .
Similarly Elkana said the command received a call about a driver of a car submerged by flood saying that “On getting to the scene, we discovered a Toyota Corolla car submerged in a shallow river due to heavy downpour at kuturko in Bosso local government area of the state.
While saying that the owner of the car was identified as Abubakar Mohammed of Kuturko village he stated that the police immediately evacuated the body from the area.
