The Ebonyi state chapter of the All Peoples Congress (APC) has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for his administration’s efforts in the revival of decayed infrastructure in the country particularly in the South-East region which for long has suffered neglect.
In a Press Statement jointly signed by the State Party Chairman, Pastor Eze Nwachukwu and the Party’s Zonal Secretary for the South East, Mr Jonah Mkpuruka, the Chapter commended President Buhari’s administration’s quick response to the plight of Ndi-Igbo by awarding the reconstruction of both Enugu-Onitsha Expressway and the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway, and the commencement of the construction of the Second Niger Bridge which when completed will boost socio-economic activities of the region and the entire nation.
The Party also thanked Mr. President for appointing their son, Mr. Elias Mbam as the Chairman, Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, believing that the humility, honesty, dedication and integrity of the average Ebonyi man will guarantee more appointments from Mr. President.
“This confirms Mr. President Inaugural address where he stated that he “belongs to everybody and belongs to nobody” it said.
The Party equally restated its unflinching support to the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu just as it urges Nigerians to be patient with the reforms of President Buhari’s administration which are beginning to bear fruits and would soon bring to an end, the biting effects of the recession.
The Statement also poured encomiums on the zonal leadership of the party in the South East for the quick resolution of the internal crisis of the Ebonyi State Chapter; reiterating its resole and commitment to work with all members.
