Eid-el-Kabir: Police Deploy Intelligence Officers To Worship Centres

As part of security arrangement to ensure a hitch-free eid-el-kabir celebration in the Federal Capital Territory, the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa has ordered massive deployment of plain-cloth and uniformed Police operatives around praying grounds, shopping malls, gardens, recreational spots, critical infrastructures, motor parks and other areas that will be a beehive of activities while the event is been commemorated.

According to the police public relations Officer, Anjuguri Manzah, this arrangement also includes the strategic deployment of personnel on foot and motorised patrols along all streets and major roads across FCT.

He noted that CP Mustafa issued out the directive this week at the Command’s Headquarters during the Command’s strategic operational meeting which was attended by Heads of Department, Area Commanders and Divisional Police Officers attached to the Command.

The Police advised worshippers to guard against carrying bags and baggage to   prayer grounds and urged citizens to provide the police with timely information about criminals and suspicious persons hibernating around their environment, through the Command’s 24 hours emergency help-lines: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653 and 08028940883.

Meanwhile, in a bid to forestall a lasting peace at the Wuye Ultra-modern market in Abuja, the Nigeria Police Force have opened its Wuye market police post for immediate operations.

Speaking at the official commissioning of the market, CP Mustafa, who was represented by the Metro Area Commander, ACP Abiodun Alamutu said the police post will serve as bridge between the police and the people.
