A former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Isa Muhammed Ashiru, has described the current ecomomic challenges faced by Nigerians as a sign of good things to come.

Ashiru, who was a governorship aspirant in Kaduna State in the 2015 general elcetion, however commended Nigerians, especially the people of Kaduna state for their support for the Change Agenda of  President Muhummadu Buhari-led  administration, urging them to remain committed to the change mantra until Nigeria is rescued and returned to greatness.

He pointed out that despite the current challenges, there was no doubt that the worst is over, because according to him, President Buhari is well intentioned and working had to put Nigeria on the path of economic recovery.

The ex-lawmaker, who is a frontline member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Akida Group in the state, made the disclosure in his Sallah message to the people of Kaduna State.

Ashiru likened the present socio-economic downturn

in Nigeria to the trial of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) who was commanded by Allah to sacrifice his only son, Prophet Ismail in a rare display of total submission to the will of  Allah, following which Ibrahim (AS) became one of the most celebrated men in the Holy Qur’an.

He therefore called on Nigerians particularly Muslims and Christians alike, to reflect on the significance of the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, assuring that with their sacrifices and commitment, peace and progress are in the offing.

On e crisis rocking the APC in Kaduna State, he further explained that the growing tendency to derail from the change agenda of President Buhari informed the formation of the splinter APC Akida group in the state.

“The Akida represents commitment to the ideals of socio-economic change exemplified and championed by PMB,” he stated.

The APC chieftain urged the people of the state to reflect on the lesson of Eid-el-Kabir, show love for one another and be committed to growth, development and peaceful co-existence in the state.

Ashiru assured the people of the state that the APC Akida group remains solidly behind the administration of President Buhari and determined to bring about meaningful and enduring change with a human face in the state.
