More than 50 officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), who picked courses on specialized programmes in various tertiary institutions in the country in line with laid down procedures, have successfully completed their studies, bagging Masters Degrees.
The officers who got their degrees in various disciplines including Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, International Affairs and Diplomacy, Business Administration, Transport management, and Law from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria were said to have done so in flying colours.
While applauding the officers for the feat, the Corps Commandant General, Professor Ade Abolurin expressed optimism that the knowledge acquired by his personnel, would help the organisation to adequately tackle the various security challenges before the country.
Abolurin who identified poor manpower as the bane of high productivity in any society, stressed that the Corps, was bent on giving capacity building a human face as it vigorously pursues its assigned mandates.
The Commandant General, further told LEADERSHIP that over 20 other personnel were currently undergoing similar programmes in various higher institutions across the country.
