The series of explosions started at about 6.20pm yesterday with thunderous explosion sounds heard at different parts of the state capital.
The group which had been repelled for quite a while now, owing to the heavy presence of military personnel dispersed to the city to checkmate the coordinated attacks and deaths on innocent lives and property seems determined to cause even greater havoc on the town.
The bomb explosion was witnessed in about ten locations in the town but the number of casualties as of yesterday night is yet to be ascertained.
Sources at both the Borno Specialist Hospital and the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) however revealed that there were many patients, victims of the blasts who were brought to the Emergency Units of the hospitals.
