AS christians all over the world celebrate yet another Christmas, the Governor of Bauchi state Mallam Isa Yuguda has called on Nigerians to continue to live in peace and harmony with one another regardless of religious differences. The Governor made this call in his Christmas goodwill message yesterday.

The Governor noted that the Christmas would be meaningless if Nigerians fail to apply its significance to their peculiar environment saying, “ 25th December of every year is a special day set aside to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ who paid the supreme price in order to save the lives of his disciples and followers.”Jesus Christ has throughout his lifetime preached peace, honesty, love for one another and above all the fear of God. It is these virtues that people should imbibe and put into practice”, he said.

While wishing Christians  happy celebration,Yuguda urged them to use the festivity in praying for a better and prosperous years ahead even as he assured the people of the State of his administration’s commitment to ensuring peace and security of lives and property.

He also called on the people to continue to support and cooperate with his administration with a view to ensuring economic and social development of the state, saying that, “I want to assure the good people of Bauchi State that we shall improve on our performance in the provision of infrastructural facilities and social amenities in the years ahead.”
