SSS Smashes 9 Man Kidnap Gang In Edo

Edo State Command of the State Security Services, (SSS), yesterday paraded nine kidnap and one cult suspects.

The suspects, according to the state Director of SSS, Bakori Bello-Tukur, were arrested for their involvement in various kidnap operations across the State.

One of the victims of the kidnappers was a businessman at Ekpoma who paid N45m as ransom to regain her freedom from the den of the suspects.

A member of Aiye secret cultist who gave his name as Emmanuel Ighob claimed that he is a Business Administration student of the Institute of Management Technology in the State and that the two cut to size guns and 36 live cartridges found on him were given to him for keeps by an unidentified friend of his.

Other suspects paraded by the SSS command include two teenage girls; Doris Sebertie (18years old) and Queen Sunday aged 22 years.

Members of the kidnap gang were said to have collected N5m ransom from their victims through a phone call by Doris.
