THE Edo state Attorney General and commissioner for Justice Dr. Osagie Obayuwana was yesterday granted bail after spending four days in Benin Prisons custody for contempt of court as ordered by Justice Adamu Hobon of the federal high court sitting in Benin.
It was gathered that his bail was based on self - recognition and without condition attached as pleaded by his lawyer Ken Mozia , ( SAN).
LEADERSHIP gathered that Obayuwana was on Wednesday, sent to the hospital due to his deteriorating health situation by his personal physician.
The Federal High Court 1 sitting in Benin City, Edo state had on Monday ordered the remand of the Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice in the state, Dr. Osagie Obayuwana over the non compliance of the state government to an interlocutory injunction it gave in a suit involving a private investor, Churchgate Industries Limited owned Brewery firm, Bendel Breweries in the state.
