The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr. Osita Chidoka, has denounced call by Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola (SAN) on the federal government to review operations of the FRSC, saying that he is ignorant.
The Corps Marshal stated this yesterday while speaking at the 11th Special Marshal National Summit in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, in which he stated that comments by Governor Fashola that FRSC’s main focus of printing of number plates and issuance of driver’s licenses will not significantly reduce the cases of accidents on the nation’s roads is unfair and reeks of ignorance.
In Chidoka’s words, “It is an unfair comment by Lagos State governor. I believe he doesn’t have the fact of what he is talking about.
He talked about trauma centre, but he didn’t know that FRSC has 38 road side clinics across the country; that our ambulance came with the largest fleet of ambulances in Nigeria.”
