The House of Representatives Committee on Federal Capital Territory Area Councils and Ancillary matters has appaluaded Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) over its performance on project execution.
The acting Chariman of the committee, Hon. Kasimu Mailanteriki, stated this during an oversight function on project execution in AMAC.
He said, “We are impressed with what we have seen on ground today and I hope other area council chairmen in the FCT will emulate what we have seen here because it is the area council chairmen that know the people directly and are aware of the problems they are passing through in each community.”
In a response, AMAC chairman, Hon. Micah Yohanna Jiba, reiterated the commitment of his administration to the development of the council.
