Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) has accused President Goodluck Jonathan of violating public procurement Act.

The group under the aegis of National Procurement Watch Platforms (NPWP) while speaking  in Abuja yesterday described the statement credited to the President that he would soon request the World Bank to set up a desk  in his office to vet and review public procurements  before contracts  are awarded as unfortunate.

Executive Director, Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Center (CISLAC), Auwal Ibrahim Rafsanjani who briefed the press said the President’s statement was a response to wanton corruption that had become part of the public procurement process.
