PDP Vows To Reclaim Anambra

Members of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) who converged at Cosmila Hotel in Awka for the ward congresses, preparatory to the party’s national convention has stated that come the next election in the state, it would reclaim Anambra.

Senator T.A Adudu, the chairman of the ward congresses in Anambra who led four other members of the committee to the state said that the party is noted to be the dominant party in the state, and that efforts are being made to  reclaim the state.

Adudu stated the commitment of his committee to conduct a transparent congress in the state, while calling on the aspirants and the supporters to make collective sacrifices to ensure that the congress was gotten correctly.

“We must get the exercise correctly to enable the party control the affairs of the state. We must bury our differences and work together to ensure success,” Adudu told PDP members in the state.

A motion in support of the congress was moved by Hon Vincent Okafor and seconded by Hon Gabriel Onyenwife, who represents Ayamelum state constituency in the House of Assembly.

In their contributions, some of the supporters including Hon K.C Enemuo, Uche Ezeliora and Sunday Nwafili urged other members of the party to conduct themselves in a proper manner that would not breach peace while the congress lasts.

An aspirant for the position of National Publicity secretary, Chief Chike Udenze told journalists in an interview that the state chapter of the party recognized for the conduct of the ward congresses is the Chief Benji Udeozor faction.
