Japan To Provide Water For Katsina Communities

The Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) would provide water to communities in five local government areas of Katsina State, the Executive Director of Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), Abubakar Gege, has said.

Speaking while conducting the state water resources commissioner, Jamilu Danmusa, round equipment donated to RUWASSA by JICA, Gege said the agency would spend over 170million Japanese yen.

He disclosed that JICA donated one drilling rig and its accessories, geo-physical survey equipment, water quality testing kits and provided training to staff at local government and community level in the state.
