Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Youth Coalition in Kogi Central Senatorial District yesterday warned the national leadership of the party to stay clear of the legal proceedings on the matter bordering on the authentic candidate of the party in the 2011 senatorial election in the district.
According to the youths, it would be a slap on the judiciary and the party’s rules if the case that began at the lower court was miraculously withdrawn when a date for the judgment had been fixed by the highest court in the land for the end of this month, March 30th.
In a statement issued in Abuja by the leader of the Coalition, Comrade Abdulsalam Yusuf Adeiza, the group said the move by the leadership of the party to withdraw the case which had reached a judgment point at the Supreme Court would be counter-productive and would be an abuse on the judicial process in the country.
