Imoke Sacks Chief Press Secretary, Appoints 28 Special Advisers

Cross River State Governor Imoke Liyel Imoke yesterday  sacked the Chief Press Secretary/Special Assistant to the Governor on Media, Mr. Omini Oden and appointed Mr. Christian Ita in his place.  Mr. Ita was until the appointment, a staff of National Life newspaper.

 This was contained in a Government House Press statement.

Senator Liyel Imoke also approved the list of 28 special advisers. The statement was however silent on why Mr. Oden was removed barely one year in office 

Among the 28 appointees are Mr. Fred Osim, Special Adviser (SA)Political and Legislative Matters, Barrister Edem Ekong (SA) Department of Transportation, Mrs. Francisca Nkoyo Effiom (SA), Debt Management, Prof. Ndem Ndiyo Ayara (SA) Economic  Adviser and Vice Chairman, State Planning Commission, Mr. John Eyikwaje (SA) Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr. Odo Effiong (SA) Communication Technology Development, Dr. Iyam Ugot (SA) Community Health.

 Other appointees include Mr. Nzan Ogbe (SA) Governor’s Office, Mr. Gerald Ada (SA) Investment Promotion, Dr. Tom Ogar (SA) Due Process, Hon. Fabian Okpa (SA) Special Duties, Dr. Peter Oti (SA) Budget, Barr. Mark Obi (SA) Legal Adviser, Barr. Edward Ogon (SA) Mortgage Finance, Mr. Wilfred Usani (SA) Tourism Development.
