A former Nasarawa State Commissioner of Sports, Alhaji Halilu Mohammed, said with the re-election of Chief Yunana Iliya as the Chairman of Nasarawa State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the just concluded state congress election is an indication that PDP is out to transform the socio-economic life of the people in the state.
Mohammed stated this at Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital yesterday, while speaking to LEADERSHIP on the conduct of the congress election as a chieftain of the party.
Mohammed said: “The conduct of the state congress was maturedly handled in a peaceful atmosphere, even the delegation from the national headquarters of the party can attest to it.
Also delegates from the wards were not under any threat as they voted the candidate of their choice.
Thank God, at the end of the election a winner emerged, who is Chief Yunana Iliya. His re-election is to transform the party and the life of the people in Nasarawa State.”
