The Sokoto State Police Command said two separate armed robbery cases were recorded within the metropolis in the last one week.
The state Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), Almustapha Sani, disclosed stated this yesterday during a chat with newsmen.
According to him, the lastt recorded incident was at Mai-Nasiha Chemist along Abdullahi Fodiyo Road Sokoto in the night hour of yesterday.
He said two young men in a motorcycle entered the drug store with a rifle and held up the sales attendant, before stealing thousands of Naira believed to be sales made for the day.
The PPRO, however, said the command was making efforts to track down the culprits even as he advised the people in the state to remain calm and to report any criminals’ hideout in the state in order to track them down.
