Aregbesola Prepares 1,000 Acres Of Land For Rice Plantation

As part of the effort of the present administration in Osun State to boost food production, the State Governor, Mr. Rauf Aregbesola through the Quick Impact Intervention Programme (QIIP) has prepared 1,000 acres of land to be distributed to no fewer than 20 cooperative farmers’ groups for rice plantation in Osuntedo village in Ejigbo Local Government Area before the coming of the rainy season.

The state government also plans to set a production target of 2,000 metric tonnes of rice this year from the plantation alone.

State coordinator of QIIP, Mr. Dele Ogundipe, received the state Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Prince Wale Adedoyin who led a team of officials from the ministry to visit the plantation.
