Niger State Polytechnic, Zungeru, has matriculated 1,376 students for this year’s academic session even as the Rector of the polytechnic Mohammed Garba warned students to stay off cultism..

Garba, who gave the directive during the matriculation in Zungeru over the weekend, stated that the management would not hesitate to dismiss any student found to have engaged in cultism.

Similarly Garba said the institution would not allow any student to participate in any of the school’s examination if the student failed to attain 75 per cent attendance rate at lectures as required by the law of the school.

The rector, therefore, urged the students to focus their attentions on their studies and to shun any kind of distraction which could have adverse effect on their performance.

He also appealed to the state government to provide the school with more lecture halls, equipment and logistics, so that the school could meet its obligations to the students.
