The Enugu State Police Command has commenced investigation in the case of the middle-aged man arrested with some vital human parts.
A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Ebere Amaraizu in Enugu on Friday gave the name of the suspect as Nnabuike Nwasulor.
The statement noted that the suspect was apprehended by the police at Emene, a suburb near Enugu, following a tip off.
It stated that the suspect had human parts and bones covered with palm leaves, noting that the exhibit was traced and recovered on March 17 at the premises of a private company at Emene.
The police stated that during investigation, the suspect confessed that he got the human parts from a dead body buried in a shallow grave along Enugu/Abakiliki express-way.
The suspect added that he was working on the instruction of a trusted friend whose identity was yet to be known.
