An Italian was found stone dead in his hotel room after what was believed to have had booze and a romp with some prostitutes. LEADERSHIP learnt that the Italian (names withheld) died in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) after an all-night session with prostitutes.
The incident which the FCT police command confirmed happened at a hotel (name withheld) in Wuse 2, Abuja, last weekend.
The sources told LEADERSHIP that the Italian, a well-known face in the area, was reportedly found dead in his room at about 1:30pm.The source said he was last seen at another hotel (name withheld), also in Wuse 2, earlier in the day taking breakfast. He returned to his room but when he did not come out on time for the cleaners to tidy up his room, the officials used another key open the door, only to behold the his lifeless body.
The Italian was last seen returning to his hotel room Thursday night with a prostitute, but the lady was gone by the time the body was found. Suspiciously, also, no valuable, including his laptop, wristwatch and cash were found in the room.
FCT police spokesman, Mr. Jimoh Moshood, who confirmed the death, said the police were still investigating the incident.
“He was found dead in a hotel room but were investigating the incident; that’s all I can tell you now,” he said.
