The state CRPP chairman, Dr. Samson Isibor, who disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Benin, said their decision was consequent upon the glaring and laudable achievements of Governor Oshiomhole-led ACN administration.He noted that though the coalition had been at the forefront of critics of Oshiomhole’s administration since inception, they had realized that virtually all the government’s policies are people-oriented. “The CRPP came to conclusion at an enlarged meeting to support and adopt Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as our candidate, seeing his performances so far, he has performed excellently. He is a democrat, a resilient fighter, always people- driven and has a zeal and penchant to alleviate the suffering of the people of Edo State,’’ he stated.Isibor described the PDP governorship candidate as the least qualified, as lacking charisma, and as having a military antecedent which disposed him to anti-democratic values.“To be able to fight Oshiomhole, the opposition need a man with intellectual capacity and a charismatic leadership, which are what Airhiavbere is lacking,’’ he said.However, in its reaction, the PDP Publicity Secretary, Pharmacist Matthew Urhioghide, frowned at Isibor’s statements, adding that his parting ways with the PDP was “good riddance to bad rubbish.�“The assertion made by the CRPP chairman, Dr. Isibpr, is quite unfortunate and I would expect that he would have exercised a lot of restraint. Dr. Isibor is one person who has traversed all the political camps in Edo State. I just hope he is not going to lose credibility because this one he has done has taken us aback.“What he is complaining about is just personal interest and I don’t want to complain about that because I would derogate him. The statement credited with Isibor should not be taken with any atom of seriousness because he is not credible. We in the PDP are very relieved in allowing him to go. For us, it is good riddance to bad rubbish.�
