A nongovernmental organisation, Abdul Azzez Bello Peace Foundation has called on the various clans in Ebiraland to work collectively towards halting the on-going serial killings in the area.
In a statement, yesterday, in Lokoja, the foundation enjoined the people of the central axis of the State to work towards the socio-economic progress of the area.
The statement which was signed by the president of the foundation, Alhaji Abdul Azzez Bello noted that no meaningful development could take place in an atmosphere of crisis and disorderliness.
He pointed out that the two major clans Ogu and Omoye must be a rallying point for other clans in Ebiraland in order to fast track peaceful co-existence.
He added that the foundation would continue to work with other organisations with similar mandate with a view to achieving permanent peace in Ebira land.
Bello, who noted that politics of imposition also contributed to the protracted crisis in the area and stressed that the people must be allowed to decide who should lead them.
