Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) Governorship Candidate  in Edo State,  Major General Charles Airhiavbere rtd.,  has expressed deep concern over alleged  reckless spending  of tax payers’ money by Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State with a promise to probe him when he gets elected as the governor in the July 14 governorship election.

Airhiavbere  who spoke yesterday at a meeting with members of the party during an enlarged meeting of  Edo South PDP leadership from state to ward levels at its state secretariat in Benin City, boasted that  the party has been restructured to conquer any party in the forthcoming  election.

He said there was need for the investigation of the governor whom he alleged, carelessly doles out SUV cars and other luxury gifts to party chieftains.

While challenging the governor to a popularity contest he asked:  “Why would a governor give out jeeps to bribe people, if he were actually popular as he claims?

Where do the funds come from which he squanders around? When we get to office, we would ask questions. He has imposed multiple taxes on the people.
