President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of Alhaji Aminu Musa Yusuf as the substantive Director General and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Zaria.
The appointment was contained in a letter dated March 17, 2012 by the Minister of Transport, Senator Idris A. Umar which was signed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Engineer Nebolisa O.Emodi.
The appointment which is for a four year tenure takes effect from 19th March, 2010.
Alhaji Aminu Musa Yusuf had been the acting Director General and Chief Executive since March, 2010.
The Minister congratulated Alhaji Aminu over his appointment and assured him of all the necessary support to enable him succeed.
An astute academic and an administrator, Alhaji Aminu Musa Yusuf joined the services of the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology NITT, Zaria in 1992 as a Principal Staff Development Officer and rose to the position of Director Training Department in 2004.
He holds a Master of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography both from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
