As the once juicy relationship between the defunct Mo’Hits Records’ honchos, Don Jazzy and D’Banj, further sours over a reported leaked e-mail exchange recently, two principal members of the once bubbling entertainment empire, Wande Coal and D’Prince, have taken a swipe at D’Banj.
The two artistes, through different twitter messages last weekend, voiced their displeasure and condemned the Kokomaster’s claims of being the main meal ticket and most generous boss while the business was on.
Hitting his twitter handle, Wande coal, the singer, who tweeted from far away Malaysia, where he had gone for some concert dates, threw jibes at D’Banj.
He twitted: “God, please don’t let the success you have given me get to my head to the extent that I will forget my humble beginnings.”
And he wrapped it with; “Saying that he bought a car for Don Jazzy is wrong and untrue.”
Just as the dust on Coal’s jibes was settling, D’Prince, an alleged unsigned member of Mo’Hits, who was one of the subjects of the leaked e-mail, also reacted in a series of tweets.
“Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak minds discuss people,” he started. “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new”. “There is only one good, knowledge; and one evil, Ignorance”.
The singer ended the tweets with the ninth commandment of the Bible, “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.”
The real crack in the Mo’Hits empire went viral when on March 17, Don Jazzy, the producer and president of Mo’Hits, confirmed via twitter the rumour about the trouble within the famed entertainment family. This was further exacerbated by the leaked e-mail.
A source within the defunct Mo’Hits, said that the issues in the leaked e-mail had forced Don Jazzy to send out the tweet to announce the end of the label set up exactly eight years ago.
