The national team; Super Eagles will reconvene in the Federal Capital, Abuja on Sunday May 6, ahead of the international friendly against Peru in Lima, May 23 and the upcoming Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers in June.

Nigeria has three crucial qualifiers against Namibia, Rwanda and Malawi in June.

Eagles Spokesman, Ben Alaiya quotes National Team Scribe, Dayo Enebi Achor, as saying that the clarification becomes necessary to avoid controversy over the date of arrival in camp of players and officials of the national team. He also declared that for now, the friendly against Gabon, has been put on hold until both parties agree on a mutually beneficial date.

Similarly, Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi is expected in the country on Sunday, April 29, from the United States, where he has been on holidays to start preparing grounds for the team’s resumption for crucial friendlies and qualifiers in the coming weeks.

List of players for camping is expected to be released in the coming days, though as the Big Boss Keshi has said himself, there are not expected to be much changes in the team, as his building process is nearing a crucial stage where he has to have a standing team for the qualifiers.
