Governor Abdul’azeez Abubakar Yari of Zamfara State has described the verification exercise undertaken by the committee for the verification of primary school education in the state as a great success.
He commended the efforts of Zamfara State Universal Education Board for doing a fantastic work and for setting up the committee to revive primary school education in Zamfara State.
Governor Yari said, the exercise, as carried out by some group of intellectuals and University dons was one of the best sacrifices made by them.
He made the commendation while receiving the committee members who visited him in his office.
He said the commitment shown by the board assisted tremendously in exposing the kind of problems affecting the development of primary education. He stated that, his main challenge now was to effectively ensure the implementation of all the recommendations.
Gov Yari assured the committee members of his determination to put their recommendation into practice so as to save the primary education from total collapse .
Speaking earlier, chairman of Zamfara State Universal Education Board, Hon. Murtala Adamu Jangebe informed him about the challenges facing primary education and the sacrifices made by the intellectuals and university dons in order to save primary education from collapse.
